The patient-centered care approach -- which focuses on the unique characteristics and needs of each patient, rather than the disease -- has been adopted by healthcare systems worldwide. Yet communication gaps -- linguistic, cultural, and informational -- between patients and their care providers have made practical implementation difficult.
This exhibition, launched on March 30 2022 and entitled The Art of Engagement, presents a groundbreaking Israeli solution for bridging these gaps: animated educational kits personalized for each patient. The kits are in various stages of implementation across the Israeli healthcare system, and are sparking a tangible revolution in patient experience.
Four of them were devoted to select product areas, Ophthalmology, Cardiology, Anesthesia, and Obstetrics, with one showcasing our creative and technical processes.
The exhibition featured five main displays
I don’t care about GistMD’s sales. That’s not what I care about. What I care about is that every patient with fecal occult blood does a colonoscopy. That’s what I care about. [I care] that every patient with a positive pap smear does a colposcopy. Because I know what happens to those who don’t.
